UFC 275 Prelims draws 548,000 viewers on ESPN2

June 14, 2022 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC 275 Prelims on ESPN2 drew 548,000 viewers per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  The telecast was 6th overall in cable for Saturday night.

The PPV telecast aired on ESPN2 due to coverage of the NHL Conference Finals on ESPN.  The NHL Conference Finals drew 2.837M viewers and finished first overall in cable ratings.

The telecast drew 0.16 in A18-49, 0.08 in F18-49, 0.25 M18-49, 0.11 A18-34, 0.05 F12-34, 0.15M12-34, 0.20 A25-54 and 0.26 in over 50.

The telecast aired from Singapore where the UFC held its first PPV in the country.  The feature fight saw Joshua Culibao earned a decision victory over Seung Woo Choi in a back and forth flurry of a fight that could have earned a Fight of the Night bonus but for the main event.

Payout Perspective:

The telecast was delayed a couple minutes due to a lacrosse game on ESPN2.  This telecast probably would have done more viewers if not for the NHL at about the same time.  It is notable that the Top Rank telecast on ESPN later that night narrowly edged out the UFC Prelims on ESPN2. It is notable that the A18-49 rating was 0.16 with 215,000 viewers watching whereas boxing drew 0.17 and 221,000 in the same demo.
