WWE-Disney agree to Indonesian media pact

January 28, 2022 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Earlier this week, the WWE announced a deal that would bring the WWE Network to Disney+ Hotstar streaming service in Indonesia. The deal begins this weekend with the WWE’s showing of the Royal Rumble on Saturday night.

The WWE Network is available through NBCUniversal’s Peacock service in the U.S. The deal is the first of its kind directly between WWE and Disney.

The Disney+Hotstar streaming service combines content of Disney+ with general entertainment and sports.

The deal may open up the possibility that the WWE signs a deal with Disney+ in the U.S. when Hulu’s deal to stream replays of WWE Raw and Smackdown comes due at the end of the year.
