UFC on ESPN 32 draws 482K viewers

January 19, 2022 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Chikadze drew 482,000 viewers on ESPN Saturday night per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  It drew 201,000 viewers in the A18-49 demo and a household rating of 0.28.

The telecast made it 9th overall in cable ratings on Saturday.

It drew 0.15 in A18-49, 0.10 F18-49, 0.21 M18-49, 0.08A18-34, 0.06 F12-34, 0.08 M12-34, 0.19 A25-54 and 0.21 in over 50.

NFL Wildcard Weekend was the overwhelming winner this past weekend and the UFC show aired during the afternoon on Saturday with prelims starting ESPN+ at 1pm Saturday and the main card occurring later in the afternoon.  Thus, it was unlikely that huge ratings would occur.

For wild-card weekend, over 102 million total viewers tuned in Saturday, Sunday and Monday, and the six games averaged 30.5 million viewers (TV+Digital).

The 30.5 million average viewers are up +21% vs. 2020 and is the second-highest Wild Card Weekend average since 2015-16.

The UFC did serve as a lead-in to Top Rank Boxing which drew 460,000 overall viewers on ESPN at 10:05pm ET.

Wait, is this for real? Trump spent $60 million of our taxpayer funds to host a UFC fight and then is selling UFC coin to line his family’s pockets. The Trump corruption swamp is a mile deep.
