PBC on Fox Christmas special draws 2.645M in fast nationals

December 27, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

PBC on Fox on Christmas night drew a 2.645M viewers average in Fast Nationals per Nielsen (via Jed I Goodman).  The ratings would make it the highest rated PBC on Fox event of 2021.

Christmas night’s live action saw a battle of welterweight. Vito Mielnicki defeated Nicholas DeLomba in the night’s feature.

The telecast took place Saturday night in New Jersey and despite the holiday, the telecast was the highest viewed PBC event of 2021.  Last week, PBC on Fox drew 970,000 in the fast nationals and 822,000 overall after the dust settled with last week’s main event scoring over 1 million fans.  You might anticipate that this weekend’s Fox telecast will be consistently above 1 million viewers with such a big number.

Payout Perspective:

It looks like a lot of people stayed at home and despite NFL and NBA on Saturday, a healthy amount of people tuned into boxing.  You may recall that the UFC drew big ratings in 2016 with 4.7 million viewers watching a replay of UFC 206 featuring Max Holloway and Anthony Pettis.  With many people at home, it seems as though combat sports world doesn’t take Christmas off when watching events.
