Chuck Liddell arrested on suspicion of domestic violence

October 11, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

TMZ Sports is reporting that Chuck Liddell was arrested early Monday morning on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence.  He is currently being held in a police custody in Los Angeles.

The former UFC light heavyweight champion was detained by police when they were called to his home in the Hidden Hills area of LA.  The police determined that he had been in a verbal argument with his wife that turned physical. His wife denied needing medical attention.

Liddell married his wife Heidi Northcutt in 2011 and they have two children together.

Liddell last fought in 2018 when he lost to Tito Ortiz.  Since retiring from the UFC, Liddell has dabbled in reality TV, movies and has made several appearances at sporting events.  He was employed by the UFC post-fighting until being let go once the UFC was purchased by Endeavor.

Payout Perspective: Liddell has had a hard time transitioning to full-time retirement since his run in the UFC.  It’s clear that he has not filled the void since leaving the company and unfortunately, we are seeing the problems many combat sports veterans have with ‘leaving’ the sport.  Hopefully, he can find help and turn himself around
