PBC PPV Prelims on Fox draw 459K viewers

August 24, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

PBC PPV Prelims on Fox drew 459,000 viewers per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  The afternoon preliminary fights on the network earned 118,000 in the A18-49 demo and a household rating of 0.27.

The telecast aired starting at 3:30pm ET as a way to promote the PPV later that night.  Manny Pacquiao returned to the ring for the first time in two years and lost to Yordenis Ugas.

The PBC Prelims appeared a couple hours before the main card and served as a lead-in to MLS Soccer on Fox.

Payout Perspective:

Notably, these prelim fights took place in the afternoon. There was another slate of fights that took place prior to the immediate main card which were shown on Facebook.  The ratings are fairly good considering it was mid-afternoon on the west coast and could easily be buried during an afternoon.
