Debut of AEW Rampage draws 740K

August 16, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The debut of AEW Rampage on Friday night drew 740,000 viewers per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily (Welcome back!)

The telecast is the latest programming efforts from All Elite Wrestling. AEW Dynamite has been on a success Wednesday night and the expansion of the promotion hopes to take advantage of the momentum.

Rampage ranked third overall in cable ratings and drew 0.31 in the A18-49 category and 0.42 in M18-49.

Payout Perspective:

AEW came into third to two NFL Preseason Games otherwise its debut would have topped cable for the night. Although not a direct competitor, Rampage will compete with WWE’s Friday Night Smackdown on Fox for ratings.
