UFC Prelims draw 1.087M

The UFC 263 Prelims on ESPN drew 1.087M per Nielsen.  The early Prelims which preceded ESPN drew 752,000 viewers.

The UFC 263 Prelims featured Drew Dober and Brad Riddell which ended up being Fight of the Night.  The early prelims featured Pannie Kianzad and Alexis Davis in a women’s bantamweight matchup with Kianzad earning the unanimous decision.  The early prelims also had a 7 second KO by Terrance McKinney of Matt Frevola.

Per Jed I Goodman, this was the third time in 2021 where the Early Prelims aired on ESPN.

The early prelims for UFC 261 drew 616,000 viewers and UFC 260 drew 418,000. UFC 259 aired on ESPN2 and drew 447,000 viewers.  By far, this past Saturday’s event scored the highest ratings.

Payout Perspective:

A good ratings night for UFC 263 prelims on ESPN as the network dedicated Saturday late afternoon/evening to the entire prelim card. The ratings for the early prelims were the highest this year which may be due in part to an early afternoon start without much in terms of competition.
