$UFC fan tokens coming this June

May 4, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The UFC announced that it will launch UFC fan tokens on Socios.com starting this June.

The launch of $UFC Fan Tokens was announced informally by Ari Emmanuel when Endeavor launched its IPO last week.

The fan tokens will be on the Chiliz blockchain and they will allow owners with access to exclusive content and opportunities on Socios.com, such as fan voting, VIP rewards, exclusive promotions, AR-enabled features, chat forums, games and competitions.

According to the company release, the $UFC Fan Token will launch on June and have a maximum lifetime supply of 20 million.

Earlier this year, the PFL launched its own tokens in conjunction with the start of its season.  The PFL sold 300,000 tokens in 10 minutes at $2 each.  The tokens are now trading at $3.71 as of today.

Payout Perspective:

The blockchain is hot and a way to increase fan engagement and tie-in loyalty.  The UFC brand is strong with its base and the tokens will be gobbled up in minutes. It will be interesting to see if there will be a secondary market for the tokens.
