AEW Dynamite on TNT Wednesday night drew 747,000 viewers per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily. NXT on USA drew 713,000 viewers.
AEW finished 4th overall in cable ratings due in part to its high viewership in the key demos. It drew 0.31 in the A18-49, 0.20 in F18-49, 0.42 in M18-49, 0.17 in A18-34, 0.12 in F12-34 and 0.17 in M12-34. It also drew 0.37 in A25-54 and 0.25 in over 50.
NXT finished in the top 50 landing at 39 with 0.16 in A18-49, 0.11 in F18-49, 0.20 in F18-49, 0.06 in M18-49, 0.04 in A18-34, 0.12 in F12-34. It also drew 0.21 in A25-54 and 0.40 in over 50.
Payout Perspective:
Despite being just 34,000 viewers apart, AEW finished far ahead of NXT due to its big lead in the younger demographic. While NXT does well in the over 50 category, AEW appeals to the younger male demographic.
