PBC on Fox draws 1.6M, Prelims on Fox draw 871K

February 2, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

PBC Fight Night drew 1.608 million viewers over the two-hour telecast on Fox Saturday night.  The Prelims did 871,000 viewers as it aired prior to the event on Fox.

The ratings reflect one of the best nights for PBC on the network.  The Prelims are one of the best, if not the best ratings for a prelim card on Fox.

The main card featured Caleb Plant taking on Caleb Truax in what amounted to a showcase for Plant.

The prelims feature fight saw Rances Barthelemy defeated Ali Rivera via unanimous decision.

The PBC Fight Night Post show drew 1.565 million viewers as it aired 23 minutes after 7pm ET due to the overrun of the main event.

The breakdown in demos is as follows:

PBC Fight Night Prelims 0.18 in the A18-49, 1.8 share in M18-49 and 1.3 share in adults over 50.

PBC Fight Night 0.21 in the A18-49, 3.6 share in M18-49 and 2.1 in the over 50 demo.

Payout Perspective:

The ratings are promising and a sign that Caleb Plant is a boxer that could move the needle for PBC and a fight with Canelo Alvarez in the future could be big business. The ratings are one of the best for PBC.  Certainly, having the Prelims on Fox and no UFC on Saturday helped.  Still, the NBA was on opposite the fights so this is encouraging news.
