Showtime Boxing draws 150-160K viewers on Saturday night opposite UFC

January 26, 2021 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Showtime Boxing drew 157,000 viewers for its main tilt between Angelo Lee and Stephen Fulton per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  The telecast aired Saturday night opposite the UFC 257 PPV.

Fulton won the WBO junior featherweight title in an exciting, technical slugfest with Lee.  Ra’eese Aleem defeated Victor Pasillas in the co-main event of the night.  The fight drew 150,000 viewers.  The opening bout between Rolando Romero and Avery Sparrow with Romero stopping Sparrow drew 160,000 viewers.

Payout Perspective:

With the ratings relatively the same throughout the telecast, it’s clear that there is still a certain amount of boxing fans out there.  With the UFC experiencing technical difficulties throughout the PPV telecast, one might think that some tuned into boxing during the down time.

Wait, is this for real? Trump spent $60 million of our taxpayer funds to host a UFC fight and then is selling UFC coin to line his family’s pockets. The Trump corruption swamp is a mile deep.
