UFC on Vegas 17 bonuses

December 20, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Four performance bonuses were handed out on Saturday night at the UFC’s final event of 2020.

The performance bonuses went to Stephen Thompson, Marcin Tybura, Rob Font and Jimmy Flick.  All received $50,000 for their work Saturday.  Thompson earned a bonus for his main event win against Geoff Neal.  Tybura stopped Greg Hardy in their heavyweight matchup.

Rob Font earned a TKO in the very first round against Marlon Moraes.  Jimmy Flick earned the final bonus of the night for his submission over Cody Durben.

Payout Perspective:

Thompson’s unanimous decision victory over Neal showed that he is still a viable contender in the welterweight division.  The up-and-coming Neal may have to bide his time in the division after the loss.
