December 8, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC on ESPN 19 drew 658,000 viewers on ESPN 2 Saturday night per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Dialy.  The Prelims airing prior to the main card drew 498,000 viewers.

The UFC event aired on ESPN2 due to college football Saturday night.  The main event featured Jake Hermansson taking on Martin Vettori in a clash that was put together due to COVID-19 cancellations.  Notably, the fight card saw three late cancellations due to positive tests. This pushed back the start of the card until 8pm ET.

The main card drew 291,000 viewers in the A18-49 demo and a 0.37 household rating.  The prelims drew 199,000 viewers and a 0.27 rating.

Payout Perspective:

The ratings were affected by the move to ESPN 2 and reflects a downturn from the prior week on the main network.  Still, the viewership was fairly strong for a card that was hobbled due to so many fight cancellations.
