WWE Friday Night Smackdown ratings impacted by Thanksgiving holiday

November 28, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

WWE Friday Night Smackdown drew 2.016 million viewers in the first hour and 1.957 million in the second hour according to Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  The ratings were likely impacted due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.

The two hour telecast drew 0.6 in the A18-49 demo in the first hour and 0.7 in hour 2. It drew a 5 share in the first hour and went down to 4 in hour 2.  Smackdown’s first hour was the best M18-49 share of the night in network ratings.

The night went to a Holiday rerun of the Dr. Suess classic, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and a Minions Holiday special.

Payout Perspective:

Ratings were down over the last couple weeks which were likely impacted due to the holiday weekend.  It was the first time that Smackdown dipped in the second hour in several weeks as well as falling under a 2 million viewer average.
