NXT pulled off a rare ratings victory over AEW this past Wednesday night. NXT drew 876,000 overall viewers for its “Halloween Havoc” special while AEW drew 781,000 viewers.
AEW did draw more in the key A18-49 and M18-49 demos: 0.32 and 0.38 respectively. NXT drew 0.25 and 0.33 which is a little better than usual. NXT also beat AEW in M12-34 with 0.20 and over 50 with 0.43 as AEW drew 0.29.
Payout Perspective:
There may have been incentive to watch NXT on Wednesday with the Halloween Havoc special. The AEW product is getting ready for its big PPV next week so one might think that this would be a brief win for NXT. If NXT does continue with strong ratings, AEW may be concerned.
