Special Tuesday night episode of AEW draws 585,000

September 23, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

A special episode of AEW after Inside the NBA on TNT drew 585,000 viewers per Nielsen Media Research via ShowBuzz Daily.  The special aired at later than its 12:30am start time but still pulled down a good rating.

The event drew 0.26 in the A18-49 demo, 0.35 in the M18-49 and a 0.28 and 0.20 in the A25-54 and over 50 respectively.

Inside the NBA Playoffs on TNT drew 1.743M viewers and a 0.78 in the A18-49 demo and 2.87 in the M18-49 demo.  Earlier in the evening on TNT featured the 3rd game of the Western Conference Final between the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets.

Payout Perspective:

A very good number even with the telecast going on later at night than usual on the East Coast.  There was a substantial drop off from the NBA audience to AEW but a portion of that can be attributed to it happening late at night.  But, it shows that the AEW fans are transitory and willing to find the telecast.
