UFC on ESPN+36 bonuses

September 19, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC on ESPN +36 took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday night.  Khamzat Chimaev continues to impress as he led the bonus winners with a one punch KO in the first round of his fight.

The undefeated middleweight needed just one punch to KO Gerald Meerscheart 17 seconds in the very first round.

Also receiving $50,000 bonuses was Damon Jackson as he submitted Mirsad Bektic.  Randy Costa used a perfectly placed headkick to stop Journey Newson in the first round.  Finally, Mackenzie Dern returned to the Octagon and used her superior BJJ to submit Randa Markos.

All were Performance Bonuses as there were no Fight of the Night.

In the co-feature Donald Cerrone and Niko Price fought to a majority draw.  In all likelihood, Price could have secured a victory but lost a point in the first round after two eye pokes.

In the main event, Colby Covington stopped Tyron Woodley in the 5th round after it appeared that the former champ hurt his ribs and could not continue.

Overall, a good night of fights which featured some great, quick finishes.

This Anthony Smith situation is sad, its another cry for help of someone that's obviously suffering from something. No way you harm your wife and threaten to kill yourself just because.
