Bellator 246 draws 325,000 viewers

September 15, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The final Bellator of the SpikeTV/Paramount era took place Saturday night and drew 325,000 viewers according to Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  The event featured Juan Archuleta and Patchy Mix in a battle between 135 pounders.

Bellator ran an event the night before at the same venue – the Mohegan Sun casino in Uncasville, Connecticut.  The event was the last for Bellator on Paramount prior to its new contract with CBS Sports Network which starts October 1st.

Bellator on Paramount 2020

Bellator 239:  296,000

Bellator 240:  310,000

Bellator 242:  277,000

Bellator 243:  403,000

Bellator 244:  275,000

Bellator 245: 300,000

Bellator 246: 325,000

Payout Perspective:

As the years rolled on and the demo shifted on Paramount, it became apparent that Bellator wanted a new home and perhaps a network. And, maybe Paramount saw the same.  The 325,000 viewers were above the average this year for Bellator which ends at 313,000 viewers on the network.  One would assume that the promotion would look for more going into its CBS Sports Network partnership.
