PBC on Fox fares well against LeBron and NHL Sunday night

September 7, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

PBC on Fox Sunday night drew 834,000 viewers in the first hour and 933,000 viewers in hour two according to Nielsen Media Research via ShowBuzz Daily.  The fast nationals came up against NBA on ABC featuring the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets.

PBC on Fox featured Yordenis Ugas as he won the WBA welterweight title from Abel Ramos via split decision.  The fight took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

The event ratings include the 8pm-10pm time slot and do not include any overrun.  The event went up against the NBA Western Conference Semifinal Playoff game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets.  It also went up against the NHL Western Conference Final Playoff game between the Las Vegas Knights and Dallas Stars.

The NBA Playoffs averaged 3.3M viewers in the two hours opposite PBC while the NHL averaged about 1.7M viewers.

Payout Perspective:

The ratings are decent despite going up against the Lakers once again on ABC and on a Sunday night of a three-day weekend.  Last weekend’s PBC on Fox did not fare well against NASCAR mustering just 713K and 826K in the first and second hours respectively against a car race.  This time around both hours did much better against two sporting events on the other networks.
