August 23, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC on ESPN 15 took place Saturday from The Apex in Las Vegas.  The event saw the main event earn Fight of the Night.

Frankie Edgar and Pedro Munhoz earned Fight of the Night earning $50,000 each.  Edgar earned the decision in his debut of the bantamweight division.  Edgar looked good in a division that is 20 pounds lighter than the one he won the lightweight title.

Two underdogs earned the performance bonuses.  Shana Dobson earned a performance bonus of $50,000 for her upset victory over Mariya Agapova.  She was one of the biggest underdogs in UFC history at +800 to Agapova’s -1400.  Dobson stopped Agapova in the second round.  Trevin Jones defeated Timur Valiev in round 2 with a stoppage after nearly being ended in the first round.
