Tyson’s last fight was a loss to Kevin McBride in 2005 where he quit on the stool before the seventh round. Since then, Tyson has gone under a renaissance of sorts although he was last seen in an AEW professional wrestling ring last June.
Roy Jones, Jr.’s last fight was in February 2018 when he defeated Scott Sigmon via Unanimous Decision. Jones has been a commentator for HBO Boxing until the network decided to discontinue the sport on its network.
Payout Perspective:
I’m not sure that either Tyson or Jones, legends in the sport of boxing, should be engaging in this event even though categorized as an exhibition. Social media posts showed Tyson training which indicated some sort of comeback was imminent. I don’t know what to really expect here but this seems like a bad idea from a personal standpoint for Tyson more than Jones.
