UFC on ESPN 12 took place on Saturday night in Las Vegas and drew 1.070 million viewers for the main card and 635,000 for the prelim card both on ESPN.  It placed first and second in overall cable ratings on Saturday.

The telecast featuring Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker in the main event averaged 552,000 viewers in the A18-49 demo and a household rating of 0.67.  The prelims drew 313,000 in the A18-49 and a household rating of 0.41.

The main card peaked at 1.3 million viewers in the 11:15-11:30pm ET quarter hour according to Nielsen.

Payout Perspective:

The ratings reflect that fans are consistent with their viewership of the UFC.  This Saturday had an especially good feature with a very competitive main event.  The main card drew high especially in the males 18-49 (0.62), A18-34 (0.33), M12-34 (0.33) and adults 25-54 (0.50).  The prelims scored well with the male demo as well.

This Anthony Smith situation is sad, its another cry for help of someone that's obviously suffering from something. No way you harm your wife and threaten to kill yourself just because.
