Sterling, O’Malley, Garbrand and Perez receive UFC 250 Performance Bonuses

June 7, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Four Performance Bonuses were given out on Saturday night at UFC 250 with Aljamain Sterling, Sean O’Malley, Cody Garbrandt and Alex Perez earning the $50K bonuses.

Perez earned his bonus by stopping Jussier Formiga with leg kicks via TKO.  Garbrandt may have had the best KO of the night with a dip and drop of Raphael Assuncao at the end of the second round of the co-main event.  O’Malley had a walk-off KO of Eddie Wineland as he dropped the former WEC Champion in the first round of their fight.  Aljamain Sterling earned a first round submission of Cory Sandhagen with a rear naked choke which likely propelled the longtime contender to a title shot.

The fights took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Payout Perspective:

A good night for the 135-pound division as it really showed off some talent.  Sterling, O’Malley and Garbrandt propelled themselves in the rankings and look for Sterling to get the next title shot after Petr Yan-Jose Aldo decide who will takeover the vacant title.
