UFC 249 took place in Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday night without an audience. Justin Gaethje had a big night earning two bonuses.
Gaethje’s defeated Tony Ferguson in the main event Saturday night scoring a 5th round stoppage over the previous number 1 contender. In addition to Fight of the Night, Gaethje earned a $50,000 performance bonus.
Also winning a bonus was Francis Ngannou who took out up and comer Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the very first round with a KO.
UFC 249 was a good card despite the circumstances with the health and safety of everyone. Gaethje proved that he is an elite lightweight worthy of the challenge of taking on Khabib Nurmogomedov.
