No fans allowed for Bellator 241 at the Mohegan Sun tomorrow

March 12, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

MMA Junkie reports that Bellator 241 set for Friday will take place without fans due to concerns over Coronavirus concerns.

As with many other sports which altered its schedules, Bellator has made the decision to run the event without fans although it will still air on DAZN tomorrow night.

Due to the pandemic, many states, including Connecticut, have declared a public health emergency which includes a limit on public gatherings in excess of 250 people.

Only fighters, their corners, event/broadcast personnel and credentialed media members will be allowed inside the arena during the event.

TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter was the first with the news.

Payout Perspective:

With no sports on the docket due to the shutdown of activities, Bellator 241 might be seen by more people than usual.  The limiting of the individuals in attendance is the best alternative than shutting down the whole event altogether.  One has to believe that the event is going forward due to the fact there are business interests at stake.  Hopefully, no one gets sick on Friday.
