White stumps for Trump

February 22, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Dana White appeared at a Donald Trump rally on Thursday night in Colorado.  The UFC head spoke in favor of the current President of the United States.

White stated that he was not a political person, he is a long-time friend of Trump who asked him about his family when he saw him.  This was an obvious point to humanize Trump as a caring person.

White also spoke at the Republican National Convention in 2016 in support of the then candidate.

Payout Perspective:

Its no surprise that White is a fan of Trump.  When he was a casino owner, President Trump worked with the UFC to hold events in his venue when it was still a fledgling organization looking for a foothold in the sports industry.  The UFC also has produced a documentary featuring the president which airs on UFC Fight Pass.

There’s also the inference that the NLRB, guided by the current administration, killed Leslie Smith’s claim against Zuffa which would have proved whether the independent contractors should have been classified as employees.  Moreover, the expansion to the Ali Act, which was actually introduced by a Trump-supporting Republican has been buried and will likely not see the light of day.
