UFC on ESPN+25 attendance, gate and bonuses

February 16, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC on ESPN +25 took place in New Mexico on Saturday night and headliner Jan Blachowicz’s first round KO of Corey Anderson gave him one of the $50K bonuses of the night.

Blachowicz, with his knockout of Anderson, has a viable argument to challenge Jon Jones for his light heavyweight title.  Jones, who was sitting front row, seemed amped for a possible matchup.

In addition, Daniel Rodriguez defeated Tim Means via submission to earn the other Performance Bonus of the Night.  Also, Jim Miller and Scott Holtzman won Fight of the Night with Holtzman taking the unanimous decision.

The event took place at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.  It drew 6,449 for a gate of $596,820.  The event was the promotion’s third in New Mexico.  It previously held events in 2014 and WEC held an event in 2008.
