Budweiser produces Cerrone-branded cans

January 13, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

As we enter UFC 246, Budweiser is producing special cans with Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone’s image on them.  The cans are being sold in the Las Vegas area in lead-up to this Saturday’s UFC 246.

The beermaker is a longtime sponsor of Cerrone and is looking to capitalize on the hype when he faces Conor McGregor.  The labels name Cerrone as “The Great American” and the opposite side of the can lists his records.

A quote from Cerrone reads, “I want all of the blue collar American working class people to know that I’m out there fighting for them.”

Payout Perspective:

Fight week for UFC 246 will be a big one for the promotion as it looks to capitalize on the return of the biggest draw in the company, Conor McGregor. The sponsor activation is a nod to Cerrone with a sprinkle of nation pride as the Irish star has his own whiskey brand.  I would expect these cans to sell out across Vegas this week.
