AEW delivers for second straight week

January 10, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

All Elite Wrestling on TNT drew 947,000 viewers on Wednesday night opposite a new telecast of WWE NXT on the USA Network which drew 721,000 viewers.

On the bright side for the WWE, the A18-49 demo for NXT rose from last week’s “Best of” telecast from 0.04 to 0.19. AEW drew 0.36 in the Adult 18-49 demo and 0.49 in the M18-49. AEW placed 6th overall on Wednesday night NXT narrowly missed the top 50 cable shows on Wednesday night. It drew 967,000 last week on New Year’s Day for its live broadcast.

Payout Perspective:

A good sign for the new year for AEW as this week was the first earnest head-to-head in a couple weeks. NXT was building its NXT UK show on the WWE Network this week while AEW was building on current storylines for next week and its slow build to the February 29 Revolution PPV.
