Kevin Lee speaks at Bernie Sanders rally in Nevada

December 23, 2019 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

This past weekend Kevin Lee spoke at a Bernie Sanders rally in Las Vegas in support of the candidate.  Lee told the crowd about how he tried to say the candidate’s name into the camera at UFC 244 but was censored.

Got to say a few words for the next president of USA @berniesanders. @danawhite let’s make this fight happen in April in Brooklyn. @islam_makhachev what’s the hold up I’m ready. BIG MOVES ONLY

The video clip of Lee’s appearance is here:

Lee’s political support behind one of the Democratic frontrunners is an outlier in a UFC business where the President attended UFC 244 and there’s a documentary on his influence on the sport of MMA on UFC Fight Pass.  In the world of MMA, Leslie Smith has appeared at an Andrew Yang rally as well.  At this point, there have not been many other MMA fighters out there in support of Democratic candidates.

As we know, Colby Covington has been outspoken about his love for Trump.  In fact, he’s visited The White House, had the President’s sons attend his fight this past summer and stayed at the Trump Hotel in Vegas in preparation to fight at UFC 244.
