UFC 245 attendance, gate and bonuses

December 15, 2019 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC 245 took place Saturday night in Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena and the main event did not disappoint as it was the Fight of the Night.

Kamaru Usman’s 5th round stoppage of Colby Covington with under a minute in the round capped off one of the most intense, hard-hitting contests in recent memory.  Both wrestlers stayed on their fit to slug it out through 5 rounds.  The bout drew the Fight of the Night bonus for the evening.

In addition, Irene Aldana’s KO of previously unbeaten Kaitlin Viera drew a Performance Bonus.  Petr Yan’s destruction of Urijah Faber drew the other Performance Bonus of the night.

The event drew 16,811 for a gate of $4,041,119.14

The UFC announced the bonuses, attendance and gate post-event.

Payout Perspective:

Undoubtedly the best fight of the night was the main event on a night with some good fights on it.  Yan’s destruction of Faber solidified him as a contender for the Bantamweight Title.  With Viera’s loss to Aldana, you have to wonder who will be the next challenger for Amanda Nunes.

This Anthony Smith situation is sad, its another cry for help of someone that's obviously suffering from something. No way you harm your wife and threaten to kill yourself just because.
