ShoBox telecast (3/2) draws 487,000 viewers for main event

March 5, 2019 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Showtime Boxing Saturday night drew 487,000 viewers for its main event featuring Erislandy Lara and Brian Castano fighting to a draw according to Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.

The co-main event of the telecast saw Luis Ortiz win a unanimous decision over Christian Hammer in a battle of middleweights.  The fight averaged 427,000 viewers.  The opening bout between Eduardo Ramirez and Bryan DeGracia drew 317,000.  Ramirez beat DeGracia via ninth round stoppage.

Payout Perspective:

With a UFC PPV on opposite Showtime’s telecast, the 487,000 viewers for the main event seems pretty good in comparison. This past Saturday’s broadcast did better than the February 9th Showtime telecast which drew 429,000 viewers for its main event.
