UFC Fight Night 111 attendance, gate and bonuses

June 17, 2017 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

MMA Junkie reports the attendance, gate and bonuses for UFC Fight Night 111 from Singapore.  The event was a Fight Pass only event taking place early Saturday morning in North America.

Holly Holm, Ulka Sasaki, Li Jingliang and Frank Camacho received the $50,000 bonuses.  Holm and Sasaki earned “Performance of the Night” honors while Jingliang and Camacho won “Fight of the Night.

The event drew 8,414 fans for a live gate of $839,300 ($1,1690,793 Singapore dollars) from the Singapore Indoor Stadium.  The last time the UFC was in Singapore was for UFC Fight Night 34.  The event drew 5,216 fans without a reported gate.  The event featured Tarec Saffiedine and also had Max Holloway on the Prelim card.

Payout Perspective:

An impressive performance by Holm with a similar headkick to the one she delivered to Ronda Rousey to end Beth Corriea’s night.  The event did better than last time in Singapore.  It was on par with last week’s event in New Zealand.

This comes days after the Bite of Seattle mass shooting, during which Barnes was out of town at a conference. Barnes has been criticized for his frequent out of town trips.

But seriously if this is being presented as a pivot, Dana's bluster about being too easy to change the game in #boxing, is actually harder than he thought.

Zuffa Boxing’s long-term plan is becoming less clear.

The promotion launched with the goal of creating a UFC-style boxing league, but its latest moves suggest a shift toward co-promoting major fights.
