UFC 212 attendance and bonuses

June 3, 2017 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

MMA Junkie reports the attendance and bonuses from UFC 212 in Brazil.

The event took place at Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and drew 15,412 as reported by the UFC.  No gate was reported to the media.  The arena, which was used during the 2016 Summer Olympics, was likely a sellout as the reported capacity of over 14,000.  Notably, UFC 134 was held in the same arena (known at the time as the HSBC Arena) and drew 14,000 for a main event featuring Anderson Silva versus Yushin Okami.

The bonuses went to Max Holloway, Jose Aldo, Claudia Gadelha and Brian Kelleher.  Holloway and Aldo drew Fight of the Night while Gadelha and Kelleher received Performance of the Night bonuses.  Each earned an additional $50,000 on top of their fight purses.
