ESPN’s Brett Okamoto obtained the salaries for Saturday night’s UFC 209. The salaries, disclosed by the Nevada Athletic Commission, reflects some notable six figure paydays.
Due to complications from weight-cutting, Khabib Nurmogemonov lost out on a $500,000 payday. Tony Ferguson was to have made $250,000 to show and another $250,000 to win in the bout that once again never happened.

Tyron Woodley $400,000 to show and $100,000 to win
Vs. Stephen Thompson $380,000 to show ($180,000 if he won)
Alistair Overeem $750,000 (no win bonus)
Vs. Mark Hunt $750,000 (no win bonus if he won)
David Teymur $14,000 to show, $14,000 to win
Vs. Lando Vannata $27,000 to show (and $27,000 if he won)
Daniel Kelly $27,000 to show, $20,000 to win
Vs. Rashad Evans $135,000 to show ($150,000 if he won)
Cynthia Carvillo $10,000 to show, $10,000 for win
Vs. Amanda Cooper $17,000 to show ($17,000 if she won)
Payout Perspective:
MMA Junkie confirmed that Ferguson was paid his fight purse of $250,000. Still, it is disappointing that he did not have a chance at the $250,000 to win. He did turned down a fill-in fight due to reports that he would have been paid less than his original contracted fight with Khabib. Hunt and Overeem making $750K each is a little surprising. Hunt made $700,000 at UFC 200. Overeem made $800K in his title chance against Stipe Miocic last September. It is a little interesting that Thompson had an opportunity to make more than Woodley on Saturday.
Something to point out- Woodley has ppv points in his contract. Whether or not he hit those marks is unknown, but I doubt Thompson did. So the upside is higher for Woodley.
Good to see Woodley win, love that guy, hope to see him hold on to the title as long as he can and I hope he keeps telling it like it is and sticking it to the bias in that promotion

Yeah, the really biased promotion. Because guys like Woodley are oppressed by being gifted title shots, victories, etc. all while claiming they are the best fighter in the world.
The only person who claims that there is a race situation in mma is Woodley.

The main event was horrible. I think that’s why Dana looked disappointed. It was horrible because of both fighters.

The only thing worst than that main event would have been Stephen Thompson becoming champion. He fought a garbage fight and took more damage than Woodley. Horrible fight, but what a horrible way for someone to become a champion if he had won.
Wonderboy was such a hype job, the majority of news outlets, fighters, trainers, etc pointed out that he won the fight. He also beat Rory MacDonald, someone who beat the crap out of Woodley.
There’s no hype when you fight someone 2x and arguably win both of them. He belonged in there with him and was arguably the better fighter.
Northcutt and Van Zant are nowhere in his league. Only boxing fans who hate mma would say such an absurd thing.
