UFC Fight Night 104 attendance, gate and bonuses

February 4, 2017 by Jason Cruz 5 Comments

UFC Fight Night 104 announced the attendance, gate and bonuses for Saturday night’s event.  The Korean Zombie topped the list of bonus winners for UFC Fight Night 104 from Houston.  Chan Sung Jung’s KO of Dennis Bermudez in round 1 earned him a $50K bonus after a 3 plus year layoff.

In addition, an entertaining fight between Jessica Andrade and Angela Hill drew the Fight of the Night.  Marcel Fortuna earned the other Performance bonus with a one punch KO of Anthony Hamilton.

The event drew 8,119 fans for a gate of $611,133.  The event took place at The Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

The information was provided post-event by UFC officials.

Payout Perspective:

After serving in the military, KZ looked fresh and without rust in catching Bermudez with an uppercut that put down the favorite.  It’s the best news for the division as KZ has a cult following and is a popular figure based on his fight style.  As for the attendance, it was the lowest for a UFC event in Houston.  Perhaps the Super Bowl in town at the same time maybe detracted rather than attracted fans to go to the event.

Bad numbers but I wouldn’t blame super bowl for it. People still need something to do.

Bad numbers for a UFC perhaps, but if GB/Top Rank or PBC were pulling this type of money in for any of their events, let alone a low profile card like this, they’d be thrilled.

McGregor makes more money than every single boxer right now and every single mma fighter. 90k at Wembley is the equivalent of a low profile UFC in Vegas. Haha.

Right wing grift is so hilariously easy. Just write a very weird and creepy fantasy story you know your paper won’t publish, then make a public show of resigning because of it, and you’ll instantly have a job offer from Clay Travis in your inbox
