def. Clint Hester: $12,000

Kevin Lee: $48,000 (includes $24,000 win bonus)

Payout Perspective:

Notably, Jones made the same ($500K no bonus) for UFC 182.  Mighty Mouse inches up in pay as he last made $191K which included a $58K bonus.  This time around he improves by $6K receiving $195K and a $60K bonus.  Of course, he did receive a $50K bonus for his finish of Henry Cejudo so he made over $200K this time around.

GGG made $2M for his fight last Saturday. Jones made $500K. That says everything.

I forgot to add that GGG’s opponent, Dominic Wade, made $500K. As much as Jones. Trashing boxing like MMA fans are always doing doesn’t make sense. Boxing is not perfect but it is not a joke, far from it.

OSP wasn’t supposed to be either.

“And GGG’s fight wasn’t even a ppv lol”

Because his last ppv only drew 100k buys.

“GGG made $2M for his fight last Saturday. Jones made $500K. That says everything.”

Yes, it says that you don’t know anything about this business if you think Jones only made $500k. He made millions for that fight. More than GGG, I guarantee.

” I forgot to add that GGG’s opponent, Dominic Wade, made $500K. As much as Jones.”

Again, you don’t know what you are talking about. Jones made way more than Wade.

“Trashing boxing like MMA fans are always doing doesn’t make sense. Boxing is not perfect but it is not a joke, far from it.”

Not a joke?? Right, that’s why the best fighter in the world has to fight guys like Dominic Wade while all the other big named, top ranked fighters can dodge him like the plague. That’s the epitome of a joke.

I don’t believe in those “bonuses” or PPV points that UFC guys supposedly get. I will not take your word for it or Dana’s or Lorenzo’s. Show extensive data that point to Jones earning, as you say, “millions of dollars.”

Wade was the mandatory challenger. undefeated and all. Yes, he had no real chance to win but still he was legit.

Canelo will fight Khan next, a legit fight. Canelo might lure Pacquiao out of retirement for a fight, again legit as well. Canelo might fight David Lemieux, very legit as well. More legit than OSP fighting Jones for sure.
The money that these boxers get is no joke. Wade: 500K OSP: $55K.

In MMA, you win a few fight in a row and you can become champion, in boxing a guy like David Lemieux loses 2 fights in a row in 2011 and was in purgatory for around 3 years until he made his way back to the bright lights of NYC to face Gabriel Rosado. He made it, many boxers would have been out for good after these 2 losses, never able to get back into the spotlight. Boxing is real, boxing is hardcore. In boxing, winning or losing matters a lot.

Exactly proving my point that you don’t know what you are talking about.

UFC contracts have been publicly disclosed in the past from Eddie Alvarez & Randy Couture’s contracts that are undeniable. Both of them gave us an idea of how ppv points are distributed. There was a full analysis of the ufc contract through Bleacher Report with managers like Juanito Ibarra analyzing it. UFC champions all automatically get ppv points. Of course they have to hit their goals to secure that money, and guys like D. Johnson don’t hit them when they get 100k buys, but many champions do. There are additional bonuses as well which have been disclosed by fighters like Rousey/Ortiz/Jackson how ppv fighters get additional points through gate, and a few other measures.

As for Jon Jones, let’s let his brother cover this one:

When asked if he could help out his brother with some money, Arthur Jones responded with the following:

“ I’m telling you he makes more then me and @Chan95Jones together.”

This was in 2013 when Arthur & Chandler, both made a combined 3.5m and Jon was still in his first champion contract, where his ppv goals, and guaranteed money have improved since.

“Wade was the mandatory challenger. undefeated and all. Yes, he had no real chance to win but still he was legit.”

There is no reason what so ever that GGG should be fighting guys that far out of his league. It is not his fault, but it is ridiculous that all the big names can run from him.

” Canelo will fight Khan next, a legit fight. Canelo might lure Pacquiao out of retirement for a fight, again legit as well. Canelo might fight David Lemieux, very legit as well. More legit than OSP fighting Jones for sure.

A blown up ww fighting a big mw. Not to meany people are thrilled about it because he should be fighting GGG but he is terrified of him.

    Pacquaio is done.

GGG-Lemieux did 100k ppv buys, and although David is tough, Canelo should be fighting the top dog.

OSP was a replacement due to Cormier getting injured. It is amusing how desperate your argument gets when you have to use injury backups as an exaggerated point.

OSP also didn’t make $1,500 boxing money. Hahaha. That’s less than ufc entry level Reebok money.

Obviously this is a lie. Also, in boxing, you fight 20 cans that have no business being in the ring with a real fighter, which mean nothing, just to pad your stats and make it look better. With mma, you typically don ‘t have to do that.

Kind of hard to lose when you fight Glass Joe’s 20x over. Boxing is a joke.

Lookin forward to the Ali Act doing a number on these slick mafia like rascals who run the UFC. 500K for the main event fighter on a ppv is absolutely ridiculous

Wil, are you for real? Do you honestly think Jones only made 500k for this? Do you seriously think he didn’t make multiple millions for this fight? I do admit, he should probably be making somewhat more than he does, but he makes serious money.
