Payout Perspective:
Notably, Jones made the same ($500K no bonus) for UFC 182. Mighty Mouse inches up in pay as he last made $191K which included a $58K bonus. This time around he improves by $6K receiving $195K and a $60K bonus. Of course, he did receive a $50K bonus for his finish of Henry Cejudo so he made over $200K this time around.
I don’t see any $1,500 payouts there. Hahahaha.

Wade was the mandatory challenger. undefeated and all. Yes, he had no real chance to win but still he was legit.
Canelo will fight Khan next, a legit fight. Canelo might lure Pacquiao out of retirement for a fight, again legit as well. Canelo might fight David Lemieux, very legit as well. More legit than OSP fighting Jones for sure.

In MMA, you win a few fight in a row and you can become champion, in boxing a guy like David Lemieux loses 2 fights in a row in 2011 and was in purgatory for around 3 years until he made his way back to the bright lights of NYC to face Gabriel Rosado. He made it, many boxers would have been out for good after these 2 losses, never able to get back into the spotlight. Boxing is real, boxing is hardcore. In boxing, winning or losing matters a lot.

UFC contracts have been publicly disclosed in the past from Eddie Alvarez & Randy Couture’s contracts that are undeniable. Both of them gave us an idea of how ppv points are distributed. There was a full analysis of the ufc contract through Bleacher Report with managers like Juanito Ibarra analyzing it. UFC champions all automatically get ppv points. Of course they have to hit their goals to secure that money, and guys like D. Johnson don’t hit them when they get 100k buys, but many champions do. There are additional bonuses as well which have been disclosed by fighters like Rousey/Ortiz/Jackson how ppv fighters get additional points through gate, and a few other measures.
As for Jon Jones, let’s let his brother cover this one:

Obviously this is a lie. Also, in boxing, you fight 20 cans that have no business being in the ring with a real fighter, which mean nothing, just to pad your stats and make it look better. With mma, you typically don ‘t have to do that.
