Mauro Ranallo joins “Inside MMA” on AXS TV

March 9, 2016 by Jason Cruz 3 Comments

Long-time combat sports commentator Mauro Ranallo has joined AXS TV as the new host of “Inside MMA” starting later this month according to a company press release.

Ranallo, who is currently the voice of WWE’s Smackdown will join Bas Rutten for the weekly show on AXS TV.  He has also called play-by-play for Showtime Boxing and was the play-by-play voice for the international feed for the much-heralded Pacquiao-Mayweather fight.

Kenny Rice will remain with Inside MMA as a special correspondent according to the press release.

Ranallo via AXS TV press release:

“In a year in which I landed a dream job with WWE, my dream to once again cover MMA and work with my broadcasting brother Bas Rutten has also come true. Filling the shoes of consummate pro Kenny Rice won’t be easy but I can’t wait to return to AXS TV for some strong style MMA coverage!”

Ranallo served as the voice for New Japan Wrestling on AXS TV.  Jim Ross recently took over the duties for Ranallo.

Ranallo begins with Inside MMA on Friday, March 25th.

Worst commentator in combat sports by far. Absolutely horrible.

In terms of play by play, I would take Swift foot Wallace over him.

@Josh_HokitUFC You’re gonna cry you were cancelled by the left for “free speech”. And then you’ll post 200 times a day on Twitter until fox and friends invites you on to “tell your story”. And after that you’ll run for congress and your campaign will be centered on white grievance.

This is

Real question. Was this announced or is there an intern somewhere that is taking note of ever fighter’s follow and unfollow?

Ian Garry unfollowed PFL fighter Alexei Pergande after a clip resurfaced of him taking down Garry in sparring:

"Ian Garry is lying about me... I'm not sure why he made up a lie [about me filming him without permission]."
