Jon Jones reinstated by UFC

October 23, 2015 by Jason Cruz 2 Comments

UFC.com announced that it has formally reinstated Jon Jones.  The former UFC Light Heavyweight champion was suspended indefinitely following a traffic incident in which he was charged with leaving the scene of an accident.  Last month, Jones agreed to a plea deal with prosecutors in New Mexico.

Via UFC.com:

Following a review of the plea agreement reached by Jon Jones and officials in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and the judge’s decision, UFC announced today the formal reinstatement of Jones to the UFC roster. Effective immediately, Jones is eligible to return to competition. As such, UFC expects Jones to meet all of the terms of his plea agreement, including mandatory community service, as a condition of his reinstatement.

Payout Perspective:

It was inevitable that Jones would be reinstated.  Obviously, the UFC has tempered his return by stating he must fulfill the terms of the plea agreement.  However, Jones’ return should help bring back the UFC 182 rematch between Jones and Daniel Cormier.  You may recall that the fight was complete domination by Jones.  However, the bad blood between the two should help promote the fight and still spark interest.

  1. Jon Jone's crack pipe says

Kind of a sad day in sports, when the above article finds the most important thing about Jones’s return, is that it should help promote ratings.

I think Jon Jones has already done a lifetime’s worth of ratings for the sport . . .
    . . . negative ratings that is.

Why is this douchenozzle even coming back? (Rhetorical question, so let me finish).

    – Jon Jones is a steroid abuser. Last winter he tested for all kinds of abnormal his testosterone and epitestosterone levels, a sure sign of someone trying to hide a sign of attempt to hide things.

    – He’s a self righteous, pompous god speaking Ali -wannabe, all the while hiding the real fact he’s just some thug who spends every weekend doing coke and banging whores. Nothing wrong with the latter, but can the idiot MMA news media stop allowing to showcase his fake ‘Glory to God’ side? The only time this human waste of trash sees God is when he is crying ‘Ohhh god’, while blowing his load in a bathroom stall all over a $20 ho.

    – You want a true testament to the character of Mr Jon Jones? What business does this man EVER have in even stepping into the Octagon again, ….a man who while driving intoxicated (coke, weed, booze, etc..), hits a young pregnant woman, wrecks her car, flees the scene…..and then in a moment of clear-mindedness, comes back!!! For his crack pipe!!! Then flees again. Nice guy.

Nice job to the MMA media (sites like this one)…that keep giving this idiot the time of the day. But worse yet, to the whores at Zuffa, who in desperation to find anything that would sell to their dumb audience, …will put this crime-scene fleeing, steroid taking, cokehead back in the Octagon.

    Shame on all of you.

And fvck Jon Jones. Here’s to hoping karma exists, and he dies in an auto accident very soon.

Do we really need to take God’s name in vain just to insult Jones?

Jones isn’t an Ali-wannabe. He’s exactly like Ali: overrated, loud, disrespectful, over-advertised, etc. I don’t know where you heard that he’s been juiced, I hope you’re not making up hateful accusations. I doubt Jones has ever needed to use roids given his height and reach.

Everyone knows the UFC is now desperately trying to milk as much money as possible and they’re going to use Jones to do that. No need for you to insult sacred things to make your point. The cat is out of the bag. Saying the UFC is doing this for the money is stating the obvious.
