Bellator MMA: Dynamite 1 Live Weigh-Ins

September 18, 2015 by MMAPayout Moderator 2 Comments

Bellator MMA: Dynamite 1 live weigh-ins are scheduled to air at 5 PM (PST) today before the event takes place tomorrow, Saturday September 19th from the SAP Center in San Jose, California.

Bellator MMA | Don’t Miss Dynamite 1 – Live Saturday 9/8c on Spike

Payout Perspective:

Scott Coker, Bellator, and Spike TV have been doing a pretty good job of promoting the Bellator MMA: Dynamite 1 heading into the event. It has even gotten some mainstream coverage from Rolling Stones, LA Times 1 & LA Times 2, press from ESPN Deportes signing by Awful Announcing, and heavy coverage from the usual MMA media such as MMAFighting, MMAJunkie, and Bleacher Report.

Heading to the event, Scott Coker is saying all the right things many hard-core MMA fans want to hear.  So far, he has said his vision is to build a better version of PRIDE Fighting Championships, to “give the fans what they want (MMAJunkie)”, and to build the “Dynamite” brand as a series (Sherdog), with tournaments lined up every year.  So far, fans are liking what they are hearing and adding the likes of famed PRIDE announcer Lenne Hardt and setting up a ridiculous ring plus cage setup has peaked fan curiosity. It definitely won’t be your typical vanilla MMA event most fans have become accustomed to in North America over the years.

Watching it now, not a bad event. They are picking up their presentation.

I thought the presentation was very well done for the weigh-ins. Maybe a little a little long and have more passionate fans may have bumped it up a notch, but well done none the less.
