WSOF hires new CFO

September 3, 2015 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The World Series of Fighting announced that it has added Barry Pincus as its Chief Financial Officer according to a WSOF press release.  Pincus has served as a senior executive and CFO of the New York Yankees and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.  He most recently was with IMG Artists.

Via WSOF press release:

“Barry is a terrific addition to the World Series of Fighting management team, bringing a wealth of knowledge and financial experience, as well as a dynamic approach to brand development to our growing sports property,” said CEO, Carlos Silva.

It has been a week of acquisitions for WSOF at it announced earlier this week that Chael Sonnen would serve as color commentator for its WSOF events on NBC Sports Network.

Payout Perspective:

Pincus has a wealth of experience and most fans will never see what he will do behind the scenes…which may be a good thing.  According to his Linkedin profile, Pincus last worked as CFO for IMG Artists for 2 years ending in September 2014.  Either he has not updated his profile or has not worked since September 2014.  Notably, IMG Media is helping WSOF distribute its media rights globally which may be the way they found Pincus.
