TUF 21 Episode 4 draws 286,000 viewers

May 18, 2015 by Jason Cruz 20 Comments

The Ultimate Fighter 21 Episode 4 drew just 286,000 viewers on FS1 this past Wednesday.  It’s the lowest rating this season for the show.

TUF 21

Episode 1 – 490,000 live + Same Day

Episode 2 – 454,000

Episode 3 – 364,000

Episode 4 – 286,000

TUF 21 Ep 4

The TUF 21 early average sits at a lowly 399,000 viewers.

Payout Perspective:

A game 7 in the NHL between Washington-New York and two NBA playoff series likely spelled the poor ratings for the first showing of TUF 21.  It’s clear that the focus for the network is that series does well overall (i.e., focus on DVR ratings) rather than look at the Wednesday night ratings.  The concern for FS1 is that while it may pick up almost 50% viewership from its Live +SD average, it still is lower than the past seasons airing on the network.

You think if you post that, that you are making sometype of argument but your not.
Only UFC fanboys give a shit about TUF. Boxing fans don’t give a fuck about reality shows, nerd.

The contender is canceled, boxing has huge steady years and recently has a 4.4 million ppv show! TUF is still on , the ufc is failing in every aspect none to mankind and just did a reported 100k ppv and can’t sell a ticket in canada one of its former biggest markets. Hmmm yea D, you know where to brag bahahahahahahha

“Now that we’ve got this new platform, going on big Fox and FX, the amount of viewers that are going to watch, I mean this season of the ‘Ultimate Fighter’ with no promotion whatsoever is pulling between 1.5 and 1.8 million viewers,” White said.

“We’ll more than double that when we go onto FX. I mean we’ll probably have more than 3 million viewers on FX watching the ‘Ultimate Fighter’.”

Time to take TUF off life support.

I thinks it’s sad that the UFC or Fox Sports hasn’t tried to create a different show with a different concept. There is clearly a following for the UFC and people are clearly tired of the TUF concept to the point has turned off people to where no amount of changes matter under that name.

The worst part is they could have created another show and used TUF ratings to promote is like everyone other show and network does. AMC used breaking bad to launch walking dead and Dead to launch hell on wheels and now Better call Saul. The UFC had over a millon fight fans who would flock to a new fight show and now they are gone. Really a missed opportunity.

They need to go to a show following a 2-3 fighters on their journey to the UFC and as a rookie in the UFC. Like the Tapout show but higher budget and a UFC feel rather than people just riding to a fight in a Tapout RV. This creates stars better than TUF and gives fans someone to focus on a follow rather than 16 people you don’t know who is going to get kicked off and who isn’t. You can’t focus on anyone person. Now it seems the fighters are lost in a team concept and get less coverage and fans are even less interested.

d- the contender could have stayed on if they could have found a network that was fine with 600k viewers per show. they couldnt. the contender could easily be getting 800k per show to this day but the point of a show is to make money nort break even. fox sports has to keep this shit on because they need ufc content and already paid for it. contender was year by year. apples and oranges.

this shit remains on because its n small channels that have no other options. do you honestly think nbc or espn (where th contender aired) would still be playing tuf? tuf is always on some no name channel.

Fagbusiness, TUF was doing solid ratings exceeding your numbers well through 10 seasons. That was considerably better than the Contender would have done on Spike where they were making money.

    You are an idiot.

TUF has become the SPAM of shows, nothing but filler. But there is definitely a market for crap, “People like blood sausage too, people are morons.”

All they need to do is give NON pros a show and they will fight their asses off for a pro contract.

Then no more ground humping and clenching.
