UFC 186 Prelims draw 710,000 viewers

April 28, 2015 by Jason Cruz 10 Comments

MMA Payout has learned from Nielsen sources that the UFC 186 Prelims on Fox Sports 1 drew 710,000 viewers in Live + Same Day viewership.  It is the first Prelims event that has drawn less than 1 million viewers in 2015.

The featured card on the Prelims featured Patrick Cote taking on Joe Riggs with Cote winning via unanimous decision.  The Prelims also held the Fight of the Night

The Prelims peaked during Cote-Riggs with 846,000 viewers in the 9:30-6:45pm ET quarter hour.

Also of note, the pre-fight show drew 322,000 viewers on FS1.

UFC PPV Prelims 2015

Payout Perspective:

The ratings reflect the fact that this card was the least desirable of the PPVs this year.  The 710,000 is the lowest since December’s UFC 181 which drew 840,000 viewers.  The Prelims competed with NBA and NHL Playoffs which aired at the same time.

Actually much better than I feared. Many Bellator cards are more appealing. The $60 PPV numbers should be very low.

HMMMM PBC numbers look pretty good compared to this shit! considering how long and how advertised the UFC has been . hahahah numbers keep going down. UFC 186 down 45% from ufc 183 which was the high and is the lowest perlim this year.

For the quality of this crappy card, those numbers seem about right.

PPV numbers are going to be dismal for this event. The UFC is still living back in 2007 when fans were excited just by the sheer mention of a title fight. Those belts mean crap now, this is not the 5-weight-class era where being a UFC champion was an automatic sell.

Title fight ≠ PPV anymore, take a f****** hint UFC.

They don’t take hints from ignorant boxing fans who hate the UFC. But nice try!

PBC numbers are atrocious across the board and they are burning millions. The only people defending those numbers are ass pirates like Saldaqueer because he is a boxing paid troll.
