UFC Fight Night 57 attendance, gate and bonuses

November 23, 2014 by Jason Cruz 11 Comments

MMA Junkie reports the UFC Fight Night 57 attendance, gate and bonuses.  Frankie Edgar, Oleksiy Oliynyk, Paige VanZant and Kailin Curran all earned $50,000 bonuses for their work on Saturday.

VanZant and Curran earned Fight of the Night while Edgar and Oliynyk earned Performance of the Night bonuses.  Edgar won for his late 5th round rear naked choke/neck crank of Cub Swanson and Oliynyk won for his sudden KO of Jared Rosholt.

The event drew 10,131 for a live gate of $670,022 according to the UFC after the event.  The event took place at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas. The capacity for the venue ranges from 16,540 for basketball to 17,900 for concerts.

Payout Perspective:

It was a competitive night of fights with Edgar subbing Cub Swanson in the main event.  It was interesting that the VanZant-Curran fight was not pegged for television as it aired on Fight Pass. The attendance was better than its last visit to Austin when it drew 7,724 for a gate of $595,900 in September 2010.  Notably, Austin native Yves Edwards was on that 2010 card.  He was on the card Saturday night too in perhaps his last fight.

Great main event, shit numbers. Does it count twice that I watched it and DVRD it at the same time? I had the boxing on too, fucking boring!! Dana has been fucking Frankie over since his start. Always making him fight in some out of town market. THIS FIGHT WOULD HAVE SOLD OUT IN NJ IF THE UFC PROMOTED IT RIGHT, and groomed Frankie the right way. Instead they have a journey man grinder who has had great longevity and horrible ppv numbers. Shame on you UFC! Frankie will be champ again! He even called Dana out! This guy should have fought all his defenses in NJ, but NOOOOOOO. Shows what an ass clown Dana White is!!! He was too busy kissing GSP’s Canadian ass, look what it got him! Ok I’m done.

Saldaqueef is being very ironic and should take his own advice, because everything this bacteria trap of human being is stating is what he is ignorant to.

He thinks sales tax is federal income tax. He thinks shitting in diapers is normal. What a dirty, gross individual.

D keeps adding absolutely nothing intelligent or informative to the discussion. Must be a horrible existence when all you can do when facts are put in your face, that you have to turn to insane rambling like the medicated fool that he is! Here is another fact for D to suck on. The UFC will do less ppv buys in 2015 then they will do in 2014 bahahaha Boxing will do a 1.5 to 2 million ppv when Floyd fights Pac in 2015 OUCH!!! bahahahah

The word intelligent is the antithesis of Saldaqueef’s world of ignorance. He hates facts, the reality that he is a parasite, and the word shower.

You really are retarded. You’ve just spew idiotic bullshit that gets proven statistically false and then when someone calls you out on it, you go off on an incoherent tangent.

By the way, Pac-Floyd will do over 2 m buys if they fight. Probably more like 2.5m, and boxing still won’t outdraw the ufc in buys.

HAHAHA!! Why doesn’t D celebrate thanksgiving? I’m not the one posting on a message board on Thanksgiving. I was with my family. Now, one must wonder why Saldaqueef doesn’t celebrate Thanksgiving? It is clearly because this smelly, wheelchair bound, geriatric, doesn’t have any family to begin with because no one other than the state is willing to deal with this foul lump of shit.

You still don’t know basic math.
