MMA Payout has learned from a Nielsen source that the adjusted viewership rating for last week’s #TUF episode 3 drew an additional 358,000 viewers. The additional viewership increased 83% from 433,000 to 791,000.
Episode 1 – 536,000 viewers; 831,000 viewers
Episode 2 – 574,000 viewers; 946,000 viewers
Episode 3 – 433,000 viewers; 791,000 viewers
Payout Perspective:
The numbers for the third episode bring up the adjusted viewership average which includes DVR viewership for the 3 days after the live event to 856,000 viewers. The Live +3 rating for TUF 19, episode drew 723,000 viewers in comparison to this year’s 791,000 viewers.
TUF is getting killed in the live ratings, but still has a DVR following. Would be interesting to know what a comparable DVR growth % is for other reality shows.
DVR ratings are questionable and not reliable, sponsors know this. First, plenty of people record stuff and never watch it! Seconds most fast forward through advertisements, so the number is non relevant for the most part.
Ratings don’t matter for TUF… Fox already paid for this garbage and FS1 needs content..so expect another 100+ episodes of TUF.

Sal that doesn’t even make sense. If they didn’t hAve to watch it for it to count then he dvr 24 hour, 3 day, and 7 day ratings would all be the same number if all you had to do is record it. DVR is more reliable as it’s an actual count of people who watched it unlike a formulated guess like Neilson. It might not mean much for advertisers. But it does show a interest in the show.
More side talking and delusion, example, I dvr’d the prelims, the showed the Cruz fight as a filler on the PPV so I didnt watch the dvr. A lot of times when I dvr something I will see online the results and either be too busy or not interested in watching it. Examples like this are endless. People also will program their dvr and never watch am episode for the entire season. Live or rerun is king, its the only true way to know how many people watch. TV IS ALL ABOUT ADVERTISERS! THEY ARE THE ONES THAT PAY THE BILLS YOU MORON!!! ADVERTISERS LOOKS AT REAL NUMBERS NOT YOUR FANTASY BULLSHIT!!
If people are watching on tv even with value from advertisers they still are potential PPV buyers. Are you to dim founder stand that? Ads are not the only way the UFC makes money.
