Television By Numbers reports that this week’s The Ultimate Fighter received an average of 1.259 million viewers. It received a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 demo.

The ratings reflect a nice bump up for the season.

TUF 17 Episode 1: 1.51 million
TUF 17 Episode 2: 1.27 million
TUF 17 Episode 3: 1.191 million
TUF 17 Episode 4: 1.25 million
TUF 17 Episode 5: 1.13 million
TUF 17 Episode 6: 1.259 million

The ratings did so well it even received a tweet from Dana White.

The Ultimate Fighter pulled another great rating on @fxnetwork last night! Thanks for watchin

Payout Perspective:

The lead-in movie immediately before TUF aired received approximately 1.3M viewers and “Justified,” received 2.3M viewers after TUF. The audience build is what Fox likely hoped for and wishes it continues.

I still haven’t read anything about the future of TUF after the FS1/FS2 re-brandings. Also, have there been any announcements about any UFC content going to FS2? There was so much ancillary content on FUEL, it seems unlikely that it would be moved to FS1 in addition to the live fight cards (unless there will be pre/post shows for the live shows on FS1).

They will probably get 400k average on FS1 at BEST

Let it henceforth be remembered that this guy claimed a ceiling of 400,000 average viewers for UFC events on Fox Sports 1. This will assist greatly in validating his knowledge of the industry.

Simple Sampson – do I smell another bet? You don’t have a great track record in that department.

They can beat 400,000 on FS1 easily. They beat that on Versus for every UFC event I think. I wouldn’t take that bet. The issue is will they ever be able to consistently beat their numbers on Spike. So far FX has not been able to do it. Partly due to MMA having peaked and partly due to the channel changes.

Sampson is a troll, he just says the dumbest shit he can to get others to respond to him.

He knows they arent doing 400k on FS1, he isnt stupid, he is just a troll looking for attention, he also isnt a man of his word. He is a tucker.
