Johny Hendricks secures Bass Pro Shops sponsorship

November 16, 2012 by Jason Cruz 3 Comments

Johny Hendricks has signed a sponsorship deal with Bass Pro Shops.  Hendricks will wear the outdoor retailer logo on his shorts, walk out shirt and the logo will appear on his banner.

Hendricks faces Martin Kampmann tomorrow night at UFC 154.

Payout Perpsective:

A good deal for Hendricks as the sponsorship links his outside the Octagon interest with inside the Octagon business.  Not only does Hendricks have a sponsor, there could be opportunities to make appearances and advocate for the retailer through use of products, etc.  Hendricks and Jim Miller are the only UFC fighters with sponsorships from Bass Pro Shops.

Sweet. $10K to be on Hendricks ass and banner that gets 5 seconds of airplay…

    Solid sponsorship Bass Pro.

Really maximizes the talent and leverages a sport that crosses over well for your core competencies to drive retail traffic and POS activation…

FYI… this is sarcasm. Fighter sponsorships are crap and I look forward to the day that one of these “agents” finally figures out how to drive relative value for their partners.

Right wing grift is so hilariously easy. Just write a very weird and creepy fantasy story you know your paper won’t publish, then make a public show of resigning because of it, and you’ll instantly have a job offer from Clay Travis in your inbox
