Bellator 73: 167,000 viewer average

August 28, 2012 by Jason Cruz 2 Comments

MMA Junkie reports that the Bellator Summer Series finale earned an average rating of 167,000 viewers.  Bellator 73’s rating brought the summer average to 180,000 viewers.

This summer’s season series is lower than last summer’s 229,000 viewer average.  The ratings for this past Friday’s event was lower than Bellator 72’s 193,000 average.

Payout Perspective:

Bellator has just one more season on MTV2 before the much-anticipated move to Spike TV.  The ratings have dipped for the Summer Series although I’m sure the main emphasis is to continue to promote Bellator through the network transition.

I really would like to see you guys do breakdown prespective of where Bellator is now n what they need to do to be successful on Spike…the pros n cons n the good, bad n ugly They really have done an excellent job since they started n i hope they can really ramp things up with the move to Spike.Im obviously not expecting them to do ufc type numbers but the real proof will be by end of 2013 what kinda numbers they are hitting n were they will go from there! I kinda see them 3-5 years behind ufc in term of success…what do you think?

I like Bellator..they always have solid fights. I would like to see them grow into a larger promotion. But how long can they last bringing in those numbers?
