Payout Perspective:
The numbers pose the question as to whether there should be a rematch November 10th. This will depend on the PPV numbers although it’s unlikely we’d see Pac-Bradley do more than 1 million buys. In comparison, Pac-Marquez III did 1.34 million buys and May-Cotto did 1.5 million buys.
Bradley was an unknown commodity going into the fight. People will know more about him by November which could drum up better numbers. But, if there is a pending investigation on the judging here, we may not see a rematch. But, what happens with November 10th. We presume this would be the next Pacquiao fight.
Does a Marquez fight interest anyone? We’d be getting a fourth fight in which Pacquiao has already won 2 although both were controversial decisions. It definitely would bring more of the Mexican and Filipino fans to attend and buy the PPV. Would it be better than a Bradley rematch?

Incompetent judging aside there’s no need for a Bradley rematch. Really there was no need for the last few rounds of that fight. It was just rinse and repeat. In November Pacman will again outclass Bradley but struggle to get a KO on a bigger, extremely durable opponent.
Even a Marquez fight would be rinse and repeat – though much more exciting rinsing and repeating. Those two have fought down to the wire every time and I expect they would do the same again and come to a very close and contentious decision.
Given the choice, I would not buy a Bradley re-match, but am on the fence about a Marquez re-match.
I suppose I could be induced to fork over $65 for a Bradley re-match if I felt that Manny had a real fire in him for the fight and was going to be even more aggressive, but Manny has never shown himself to be a trash talker or a guy who gets angry and it will be a tough sell.

*sigh* For me, this was the straw that finally broke the camel’s back. They’ll never get my money again for a pro-boxing PPV. I’ll still watch, but I won’t be purchasing the PPVs.

MV,
I was already limiting myself to only Pacquiao PPVs. After the Ortiz fight I swore off Mayweather PPVs and there are no other PPVs worth the money. I don’t want to punish Pacman for a bad decision but I don’t want to reward Arum either. I’ll wait an see what happens with this before making a decision.

A rematch will only occur if and when Manny re-ups with Top Rank Promotions for a longer term deal. Otherwise, there will be no rematch and Manny will face someone else in November.
